This describes, specifically, what the affiliate program records about a visitor who follows a referral link, separate from the site's general privacy policy.
The referral becomes a durable record tied to the account created, independent of the cookie — visible to the referring affiliate as the church's name, the month it joined, and its subscription status. Nothing about the church's members, its giving, or its use of the product is shared with an affiliate.
Click records are deleted after a retention period published in the program's settings. A durable referral record is kept for as long as the commission relationship it produced remains relevant to our financial records.
The current basis for setting the attribution cookie is that arriving on a referral link is treated as sufficient basis for it. Whether this is correct in every market we operate in has not been reviewed by counsel — see the notice above.
