The most sensitive thing your church holds is what people tell you in confidence. Church By Faith routes it to the pastors who should see it, keeps it from everyone else, and makes sure it is followed up rather than read and forgotten.
How a request is handled
From the portal and the app
Members send a prayer request from any browser or from the member app. The leaders who handle requests are notified; other members do not see it unless it was shared with them.
A care queue
Requests and follow-ups are assigned, worked and closed. The queue is what stops a request being read, felt for, and then forgotten.
Live prayer rooms
Prayer rooms your pastors host on Zoom, joined from inside the portal, for when a message is not enough.
Seen only by the people you nominate
Access is by permission, not by being an administrator of everything. Private journals and direct messages stay private to the people in them.

Availability
Prayer requests, the care queue and live prayer rooms work for every church; live prayer rooms need the video meetings feature switched on. Online appointment booking is live today on our founding ministry’s site. For other churches, pastors and availability can be set up now, but members cannot yet book through the portal or the app — we will update this page when they can.
What we deliberately do not do
We do not add unprompted crisis or emergency messaging to a prayer form. What a church says to somebody in danger, and which number it gives them, is a pastoral decision that belongs to that church and to its country — not to a default in our software.

- Can our members book time with a pastor online?
- Not yet for new churches. You can set up pastors, hours and appointment types today; member booking through the portal and the app is live only for our founding ministry so far.
- Who can read a prayer request?
- The people whose role carries the permission for it. It is not visible to every member, and not visible to us in the ordinary course of running the platform.
