Welcome every visitor, and remember to follow up
A first-time guest fills in a card, it sits in a folder, and by the time somebody calls, the week has gone. Church By Faith records the guest, sends the welcome you wrote, and keeps a list of who still needs a personal call.
How the workflow runs
Bring people in by invitation
Invite a guest or a new member by email — one person, or up to a hundred addresses pasted at once, each with its own result.
Record who they are to your church
Whether somebody is a guest or a member is recorded separately from what they may do, so a visitor is never given a member’s access by accident.
Welcome automations
When somebody is first recorded as a guest or a member, a welcome automation can send your email, send an app notification, and add or remove tags so they land in the right follow-up segment.
A visitor follow-up list
Leaders with permission to see private details see who has visited and still needs a personal follow-up, in the members area.
- A guest is recorded in your church.
- The guest welcome automation sends your welcome email.
- It sends an app notification and tags the guest for follow-up.
- The guest appears on the visitor follow-up list until someone calls.
What you control
Drafts until you switch them on
Every church starts with a guest welcome and a member welcome written for you, as drafts. Edit them, then turn them on.
A pause switch for the whole church
Stop every automation at once — before a big event, or while you rewrite your welcome.
Consent still applies
An automated email goes only to somebody whose email consent allows it.
Availability
Welcome automations are available to every church. Today people join a church by an invitation from its team; a public page where visitors can ask to join each church is not available yet. Automations that react to prayer requests, bookings or calls are not built.
Frequently asked questions
- Can a visitor sign up to our church on their own?
- Not yet. Today your team invites people by email. We will say so on this page when a public join page for every church is available.
- Can an automation send a text message?
- No. Automations send email and app notifications and change tags. Text messages are one-to-one conversations from the team inbox.
